∴
The expression = (3 + 7 i) + (5 - 9 i)
=
(3 + 5) + (7 i - 9 i)
=
8 - 2 i

√-16
= 4 i
∴
The expression = (2 - 4 i) - (5 - i)
=
(2 - 4 i) + (- 5 + i)
=
(2 - 5) + (- 4 i + i)
=
